Introduction:
Accelerating economic growth always comes with environmental and social issues. These issues require the participation of economic entities, including businesses, to address them. Starting from developed countries, social responsibility activities have expanded to developing countries, and Vietnam is no exception, especially in the context of increasing globalization and fierce competition. Businesses play a crucial role in connecting economic actors and need to be at the forefront of implementing global trends such as corporate social responsibility (CSR). Globalization and easy information sharing on a global scale have made social responsibility a leading issue in the strategic plans of all types of organizations, including for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Therefore, activities related to sustainable development go hand in hand with economic efficiency. With Vietnam deeply integrating into the global economy, including becoming the 150th member of the WTO in 2007, signing new generation trade agreements, and joining the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015, new prospects and significant challenges have emerged for businesses. Despite the existence of pressing social issues such as environmental pollution, business ethics violations, and a lack of responsibility towards community safety and well-being, there is evidence of specific activities by businesses that strive to accompany the difficulties in the community, such as sponsorship and charity activities, to affirm their social responsibility.
Based on the synthesis of previous relevant research on the topic, the research group has identified important points as the basis for building a model and research methods, such as constructing a CSR measurement criteria system, survey plans for CSR, and assessing the current situation of CSR at EVNHANOI.
Participants and Requirements:
Faculty members, students, or participants from the School of Business and Management (HSB)
The research group will have regular professional meetings once a week (approximately 3 hours per session).
The content will include reporting results, discussions, and setting research directions for the following week.
All participants are expected to contribute to the activities of the group.

Group Name:
Research Group on Assessing the Current Situation and Proposing Preventive and Responsive Solutions to Non-Traditional Security Threats in Quang Ninh Province
Introduction:
Non-traditional security is an important element of national and global security. In the context of globalization and Vietnam’s active international integration in various fields, non-traditional security issues have had frequent and significant impacts on the security and safety of localities, nations, regions, and the world as a whole. The impacts and influences of non-traditional security are closely related to the security and sustainable development of each country.
In recent years, research on non-traditional security issues and their impacts on national security and sustainable development has received attention. However, this research is still limited in scope and not comprehensive. In particular, issues related to the theory and practice of prevention and response to non-traditional security crises and threats have not been adequately emphasized, especially in the context of a specific locality such as Quang Ninh Province. Given the unique and significant nature of Quang Ninh Province, which is highly sensitive to non-traditional security issues and the prevention and response to such issues in general, as well as non-traditional security crises and threats in particular, there is an urgent need for research to enhance theoretical awareness and practical application of prevention and response in the context of Quang Ninh Province. Therefore, the Center for Management and Administration of Non-Traditional Security Research (NSMS) at the School of Business and Management, National University, Hanoi, proposes the scientific and technological mission “Research on Assessing the Current Situation and Proposing Preventive and Responsive Solutions to Non-Traditional Security Threats in Quang Ninh Province” to meet the urgent theoretical and practical needs.

]]>“Theoretical Foundations and Practical Implementation of Preventive and Responsive Measures to Unconventional Security Crises and Disasters in Ho Chi Minh City.”
Group Name:
Research Group for “Theoretical Foundations and Practical Implementation of Preventive and Responsive Measures to Unconventional Security Crises and Disasters in Ho Chi Minh City.”
Introduction:
Unconventional security is an essential component of national and global security. In the context of globalization and Vietnam’s increasing international integration efforts, various aspects of unconventional security frequently and strongly impact the security and safety of localities, nations, regions, and the world. The impacts and influences of unconventional security are closely related to the security and sustainable development of each country. Therefore, scientists, researchers, leaders of nations, international organizations, and local entities have shown interest in studying this field from various perspectives. However, these studies are often scattered and mainly address general issues, lacking specific research on particular regions or sectors. Particularly, research on threats, crises, and preventive and responsive measures to unconventional security issues is still limited.
In recent years, there has been a growing interest in studying unconventional security issues and their impacts on national security and sustainable development. However, this research is still limited in scope and not comprehensive. Specifically, there has been insufficient focus on the theoretical and practical aspects of preventive and responsive measures to unconventional security crises and disasters, especially in specific localities. Given the sensitive nature and importance of Ho Chi Minh City regarding unconventional security issues, as well as the need to prevent and respond to unconventional security threats, crises, and disasters in general, there is an urgent demand for research to enhance theoretical awareness and its practical application in this area. Some specific topics of interest include: (i) Social conflicts and emergencies; (ii) Cybersecurity and combating high-tech crimes in the context of building “e-government,” “smart city,” and “digital economy”; (iii) Environmental security and food safety; (iv) Health security and epidemic prevention…
Therefore, the Non-Traditional Security Management and Studies Center (NSMS), School of Business and Management, National University of Hanoi, proposes the scientific and technological task of “Theoretical Foundations and Practical Implementation of Preventive and Responsive Measures to Unconventional Security Crises and Disasters in Ho Chi Minh City,” with a focus on the four main topics mentioned above, meeting the urgent needs in terms of theory and practice.
Participants and Requirements:
Faculty members, students, or learners from the School of Business and Management (HSB)
The research group will have regular professional meetings once a week (approximately 3 hours per session).
